Autumn always feels a bit nostalgic to me, with the shorter days and the fall colours and that “new year” feeling despite now being a few years out of school. There’s something about this time of year that always inspires me to return to some old favourites, musically and beyond.
There’s the folksy songs that are perfect for a cozy night in, tucked under some blankets. Then there’s the ones that remind me of speed walking across campus to my next class (probably as a result of listening to them on repeat during my university years). And of course, the new favourites that fit seamlessly into the mix.
I’ll be listening to these songs as the days get even shorter and the air even cooler, with a cup of earl grey in hand and a woodsy candle burning. Doesn’t sound like a terrible plan to me…
